MCB CAMP PANDLETON

THE IMPERIAL MEF

Camp Pendleton is the major Marine Corps base on the West Coast. It is the home of I MEF. Units located here include:

MCAGCC TWENTYNINE PLAMS

COMBAT TRAINING IN THE HIGH DESERT

Twentynine Palms is home to one of the largest training bases in the US.  It is home to multinational exercises and force-on-force training to support the deployment of Marine combat forces.  Units located here include:

  1. 7th Marine Regiment

  2. 1st Tank Battalion

  3. 3rd Battalion, 11th Marines

  4. 3rd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion

  5. Company D, 3d Assault Amphibian Battalion

  6. Combat Logistics Battalion 7

MCAS MIRAMAR

HOME OF 3D MARINE AIRCRAFT WING

Marine Corps Air Station Miramar is the headquarters of the 3d Marine Aircraft Wing (MAW). It is home to flying air squadrons for AV-8B Harriers, C-130's, and UAV's. It also provides command and control for the airspace in support of the 2nd MAW.

MCAS YUMA

THE MARINE CORPS PREMIER AVIATION TRAINING BASE

Marine Corps Air Station Yuma is the home to primarily jet aircraft of 3d MAW.  It is home to F-35 and AV-8B aircraft and the Marine Corps' premier aviation tactics school, MAWTS-1.
