Marine Corps Air Station New River, North Carolina is home to the MOS schools the maintainers of helicopter and tiltrotor aircraft. Marines going through courses here will learn how to maintain the complex engines and other flight component of the CH-53E Super Stallion heavy lift helicopter and the MV-22B Osprey tiltrotor aircraft. Marines will graduate the courses with MOS’s 6113 Helicopter Mechanic, 6116 Tiltrotor Mechanic, and 6132 Helicopter/Tiltrotor Dynamic Components Mechanic.
