When your body starts to fail you, your mind will follow.  Physical fitness is more than requirement in the Marine Corps - it's a way of life.  This is no secret, yet most recruits show up to Boot Camp out of shape.  Not a problem - the Drill Instructors are there to whip you into the best shape of your life, every minute of every day through some Incentive PT.  However, if being the center of attention for being physically weak doesn't sound like your idea of a fun time, this document is for you.

This is the official PT Playbook for recruit training.  That's right, every single workout you'll be subjected to during your grueling 12 week recruit training. The Playbook covers nutrition, stretching, warmups, recovery, and methodology.  If you can do these workouts before you ship, boot camp PT will be a breeze.

Showing up to boot camp in shape gives you time to focus your mind on the other tasks the DIs keep throwing your way; whether it's academics, drill, or something else, a fit body makes the long days much easier.  This is the best $25 you can spend before going to boot camp, but don't just take our word for it.  When you get slayed in the sand pits for the first time and start sucking wind 60 seconds in, you'll wish you took the time to learn the ins and outs of how to prepare for boot camp.
