Initial Drill
This is the first of two platoon close order drill evaluations. Drill Instructors will spend countless hours teaching basic movements and discipline in order to showcase the best their recruits have to offer. Completion of his event marks the transition of a Phase I platoon to a Phase II platoon.
The first platoon will step onto the parade deck at the crack of dawn and receive the order to "Fall In" from their DI. DIs will then lead the platoon on specified order of drill commands. This event will be evaluated by the battalion Drill Masters, the top practitioners of COD on the Depot. The top platoon will be awarded with a trophy and will earn points which will determine the Company Honor Platoon at graduation.
