Initial Testing
This is the first of three academic evaluations. Recruits will be expected to show proficiency on officer and enlisted ranks, early Marine Corps history, customs and courtesies, and other topics. This test is completed on a Scantron form like those seen in high schools and colleges.
Recruits must pass this test to graduate Recruit Training with at least an 80%, but Drill Instructors will expect 100% proficiency in knowledge they provide their Recruits. Recruits who do not score the 80% minimum will be required to re-test. Failure to pass this test will result in a recruit being dropped to the next training company.
